STRENGTHENING EMPLOYEE COMMITMENT – A MANAGERIAL CHALLENGE IN THE FACE OF HIGH EMPLOYEE TURNOVER IN ORGANISATIONS
Mathematical programs and algorithms have been insufficient to correct the high employee turnover in companies worldwide. In some countries, such as the United States, it reaches an average of 57% per year. Staff replacement costs are skyrocketing. Attrition due to repeated training has become intermingled with the corporate culture, making it normal.
It is estimated that by losing an employee with one year of working time, the cost would range between 150% and 200% of the employee’s salary. It is clear, given the present reality, that the modernist models in management fail to correct the current deviation in the constant resignations of workers. However, emerging knowledge in management promises to address the problem efficiently. Such is the case of scientific management in managerial decision-making. New models centered on knowledge from a systemic perspective, capable of resolving the problem up to 60%. These models are unknown to many companies, who continue to insist on statistical management programs, without positive results. However, the horizon brings with it the promises of cognitive growth.
